Jack Torrance gets a job as the custodian of the Overlook Hotel, in the mountains of Colorado. Kubrick's massively brilliant direction lifted up even those scenes which were not scary enough with the sheer use of bgm and a meticulous direction. Love the film. This is a film which can't be deciphered entirely in first viewing, it demands repeated viewings specially to understand several aspects of the film, that are subtle references.

Doctor sleep was a good sequel to the shining, Flanagan did a wonderful job at crediting Kubricks movie and giving King what he wanted. it was balanced out pretty nicely and it isnt as bad as what everyone says. the crew of doctor sleep really put in effort in the movie, its just sad that it wasnt publicised well enough, it 2 was big when it got released but less people noticed doctor sleep. Who else they thinks the music is scary as crap. Watch movie the shining. His movie is good. This movie really seems to be about the fall of Harvey Dent This movie is brilliant jesus christ. I know people wanted to see Two Face get more screen time but I think it was enough. Besides it was more interesting to see how Harvey Dent fell from grace.

And when they get to the bathroom, you can still hear the music playing, and the people clapping, which makes it very ghostly and creepy, but beautiful and nostalgic.
